24/01/09 at 08:57 Looking Down Holgate Junction With A Class 66
Although I don’t want to feature that many Class 66’s on this site, there are other trains, this shot is awesome and I wanted to share it with you wall. Taken from a bridge this image shows Holgate Junction in Yorkshire. The image shows a GBRf with empty coal wagons. I love how you can clearly see the junction and the complexity of it. One thing that doesn’t seem obvious to me is the number of right hand junctions going to the second line on the right. It seems there is one two many turnouts than is needed.

Train Information
A GBRf Class 66. Increasingly common is this class of train as it becomes more popular on the network. Nearly every train company is buying up these trains. They seem to be the only ones that work.
Photo Information
Taken with a handy cyber shot. I really like this shot, it captures the complexity of the junction and the moving action of the Class 66.
