FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

This section is all about answering those frequently asked questions. It features ones I have made up myself to explain various different features of this site plus ones you have sent in. This list is updated in frequently so check back to see if there is any updates.

General Questions

Q: Why Are Images Displayed At 8:57am?

A: Every time I look at a time table for trains most of the time they seem really random. This is probably due to the distance between stations and various other time tabling features. Capitalising on this I decided to publish the images at a random time.

Q: Why Only One A Day?

A: Due to the time it takes to write all of the image information it takes a while to set up a post. Since I don’t have hundreds of hours free I am only restricted to one post a day. But as this site gets more popular I will find time in my day and add more, possibly and evening service.

Q: Where Do you Find Your Images?

A: Some pictures I have taken myself, some I find on flickr, odd ones are from people who have sent them in. You can send yours in if you visit the contact page.

Q: Which Host Do You Use?

A: I have a slice at Slicehost, they are really good.

Q: What Are The Share Links?

A: These share links are links to various bookmarking and publishing services. This can keep track of cool things you find on the internet. They are also a way to gain interest for this site. If a lot of people bookmark a particular page it gets seen by a lot people and I get more traffic for this site.

Q: What do the following images mean?

A: These are images relating to how the image displayed was found. From top to bottom: Photo Taken By Myself, Flickr Image, Submitted Photo, VIP Photo.

Q: What Is A VIP Photo?

A: A VIP photo is an image in which the photographer wan’ts his image displayed longer. Its not yet implemented, but is designed to be used when more than one image is displayed in a day.
