What Is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication its a method in which every new post on this site can be given to you in an easy to do fashion so you can read it in your own time. Every new post published every day will be delivered to you. There are two methods to do this, through email or a reader. Both give you access to the latest content and are really easy to set up. You wont miss out it also saves you a lot of time and effort.
Advantages Over Bookmarking
The problem with bookmarking a site and then checking it has many problems. Most of these are solved by using RSS. Some of the problems include:
- You have to check the site regularly. RSS does this for you.
- If you have hundreds of bookmarks it takes ages to scan and visit the websites. RSS can really help here.
- If you forget to check you bookmarks you can miss a lot of information. RSS archives the last 10 posts on this site be default, so you can easily go back in time and view all of the previous posts.
By using RSS you can save yourself a lot of time and effort. The pain of finding posts is taken away and you can enjoy reading posts.
Through A Reader
The first method is to get an compatible RSS reader. There are hundreds of them. You can either get a web based reader such as Google Reader or even your web browser. If you are using the latest version of Firefox or Internet Explorer you can use the built in RSS reader, more details can be found in the programs documentation. You can also use a program to use on your computer. Check out this wikipedia article more a comprehensive list. Find one you like.
The next step is to add the feed. Click on this link. Your reader should pick up the feed and download the latest contents. You are done. It will automatically pick up the latest content when it is published.
If you don’t want to download any software you can get the latest posts by email. All you have to do is enter you email address and click the conformation link. To sign up go to the front page and enter you email address in the correct box.

You’ll only receive one email every day regardless of the number of articles published. For example, if I publish 5 articles, you’ll get them all in one email newsletter. This will be the same even if I publish only one article in a day.
All email subscriptions are managed by Feedburner.com and you can unsubscribe anytime with a click of a mouse. For your convenience, instructions for unsubscribing are included in each email newsletter as well.
